EYELID SURGERY

Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery) can be done alone or in conjunction with other facial cosmetic procedures such as brow lifts, temporal lifts, cervico-facial lifts, or even medicinal and surgical therapy (laserbrasion, peeling, dermabrasion). These procedures might be done at the same time or at a later time.

TIME REQUIRED
1 - 3 days.
*The operation can be performed on an "outpatient" basis, i.e. with a same-day outing after a few hours of supervision.

2

Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty

Lower blepharoplasty is a procedure that tightens the lower eyelid and removes age symptoms. The operation is limited to the skin and subcutaneous layer, with no impact on the eyes, ensuring that the surgery has no negative impact on vision. It's a rather straightforward procedure that can be performed under local anesthetic and as an outpatient procedure. It offers a short recovery time, very few complications and almost no scars!

3

Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty

After the age of 40, the upper eyelids begin to extend and create skin folds hanging over the eyelashes. There may be bulging fat on the inner side as well. Upper eyelid surgery is one of the first cosmetic procedures that both men and women undergo. It's a rather straightforward procedure that can be performed under local anesthetic and as an outpatient procedure. It offers a short recovery time, very few complications and almost no scars!

4

Ptosis Repair

When the eyelid either partially or totally obstructs the pupil, lowering of the upper eyelid margin can result in a reduction in the field of vision  Ptosis patients frequently have trouble keeping their eyelids open, to compensate, individuals would often elevate their sagging eyelids by arching their brows. Children with ptosis may develop amblyopia (commonly known as "lazy eye").

Ptosis surgery's main purpose is to elevate the upper eyelid and restore a normal field of vision.

5

Botox injections

BOTOX is a quick (less than 10 minutes) treatment that works beneath the surface of your skin. It temporarily lowers the underlying muscle activity that causes crow's feet, forehead wrinkles, and mild to severe frown lines. Wrinkles on the forehead, "crow's feet" from the corner of the eye may be reduced or eliminated with BOTOX treatment.

Lasik

Are you considering vision correction surgery but are concerned about having a bladed surgical equipment close to your eye? If that's the case, LASIK is the bladeless option for you. LASIK: Laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis is an FDA approved technology which is being used since 1994. This laser eye surgery changes the curvature of the cornea to eliminate or lessen the need for glasses and contact lenses. To generate a tiny flap in the cornea, a femtosecond laser is used. The underlying corneal tissue is then reshaped using an excimer laser to rectify your vision. Following that, the flap is returned to its original place.

Lasik surgery shows satisfactory results with up to +6,00 hypermetropia and up to -12,00 myopia treatment.

►   10-15 minute surgery

►   Local anesthesia

2

Lasek

It is used on patients whose corneas are too thin for LASIK surgery. This procedure is performed under drop anesthesia, so the patient does not experience any discomfort.

After the laser treatment, the corneal layer is folded back and a contact lens is placed on top of it. The contact lens is kept in place until this layer heals. The eye may burn, itch, or feel as if something is in it during the first few days. The vision improves the next day with this procedure, but it takes longer to recover (3 to 4 weeks) than LASIK.

3

Cataract Surgery

A cataract is a clouding of the lens inside the eye that causes vision loss that is uncorrectable by glasses, contact lenses, or corneal refractive surgery. The damaged lens of the eye is removed and replaced with an artificial lens during cataract surgery. Our surgeons perform cataract surgery using a technique known as "phacoemulsification (FAO)." in which the eye's internal lens is emulsified with  ultrasonic waves.

►  20-minute surgery

►  Local anesthesia

4

Cornea Transplant

A cornea transplant (sometimes called a keratoplasty) is a medical operation in which a surgeon replaces a portion of your cornea with corneal tissue from a donor. This tissue can be collected from local or international eye bank.

A cornea transplant can be used to treat a variety of disorders, including:

  • Corneal ulcers, particularly infection-related ulcers

  • Scarring of the cornea as a result of illness or damage

  • Fuchs' dystrophy

  • Thinning of the cornea

  • A cornea that bulges outward (keratoconus)

  • Clouding of the cornea

  • Swelling of the cornea

  • Complications caused by previous eye surgery

5

Glaucoma Unit

Glaucoma, often known as "eye pressure disease," is one of the most common causes of blindness in persons over 60. While it can happen at any age, it is more common in seniors. Because glaucoma vision loss is irreversible, it's critical to get frequent eye exams that include measures of your eye pressure so that a diagnosis may be made early and treatment can begin. Vision loss can be delayed or prevented if glaucoma is detected early.

Our clinic is fully equipped with cutting-edge technology, such as tonometry for determining intraocular pressure, the ORA system for measuring eye pressure independent of corneal thickness, computerized field of vision devices, and nerve fiber thickness mapping.

The treatment depends on the severity of the disease while some cases may be treated with medicine, others may require assist of lasers and/or surgery.

6

Neuro-ophthalmology

Neuro-ophthalmology is a branch of ophthalmology that deals with illnesses of the optic nerve, which connects the eye to the brain, and the optic tracts. The tissues between the eye and the brain can be affected by a range of central nervous system disorders, such as strokes, infections, multiple sclerosis, and tumors, as well as systemic diseases. These illnesses are diagnosed at a well equipped electrophysiology unit in collaboration with the Department of Neurology, where specialist tests such as VEP, ERG, and EOG are done.
