PET-CT Program

Early Diagnosis Saves Lives!

PET/CT is one of the most efficient imaging techniques available today. It's most commonly employed in oncology for tumor detection, establishing the tumor's degree of differentiation, planning radiotherapy, analyzing treatment response, and, in some situations, determining whether the mass is benign or malignant. PET/CT imaging allows for simultaneous scanning of the entire body, allowing doctors to see if the disease has progressed to other organs. PET/CT also answers questions like whether or not an active disease is still present after therapy and how effective the treatment was. PET/CT is also utilized to detect live heart tissue following a heart attack and to identify epileptogenic foci in neurologic disorders such as Alzheimer's disease.

What are the benefits of having a check-up with 8 & Safe?

  • The check-up results are analyzed face to face with great attention and diligence.

  • Laboratories are awarded with ISO 15189 certification.

  • If needed, a translator can be supplied for international patients.

  • Exams, blood tests, and EKGs are all performed in specifically dedicated check-up facilities.

  • The results of the examination and the doctor's report are digitally recorded.

  • During the procedure, patients are accompanied by a check-up official.

  • Private VIP lounges are available within the hospital's check-in area.

PET-CT for Early Diagnosis

PET-CT can detect a variety of disorders early on. Prior to the introduction of PET/CT into clinical use, biopsy was the only way to detect whether a nodular formation was cancerous or not. Now, PET/CT can reliably determine whether these lesions are cancerous.

PET-CT can visualize cancers as small as 5 mm in diameter since data on body pictures is gathered via computer systems.

PET-CT at Metastasis Stage

It's also used to see if a malignancy has spread to neighboring tissues or lymph nodes in many cases (metastases).

Because the entire body is shown at once, it is easy to see if the disease has progressed to another organ. For instance, it is feasible to identify whether a lung tumor has metastasized to bone, other visceral organs, adrenal glands, or lymph nodes, or in other words, the disease stage.

PET-CT after Therapy

PET-CT scans are useful in the imaging phase because they provide detailed information about the tumor. PET can produce images of metabolism in tissues, thus once the presence of a lesion has been confirmed physically, it can be determined whether it is active in terms of malignancy.

Lymphoma causes lymph nodes to grow, which can be decreased with treatment but may not completely vanish.

In most cases, lymph node enlargement might last for a long time following treatment. PET-CT is widely recognized as the most significant diagnostic tool for determining whether a patient's disease is still active or has entirely vanished. As a result, PET-CT not only helps to find lymph nodes, but it also aids in determining whether the disease is still active or if treatment is working completely.
PET-CT aids physicians in the early detection of cancer and saves time, both of which are required and critical for therapy.
